Current Opportunity Openings
Role Description: Lead the strategic planning and implementation of STEM-Watch Africa's educational monitoring and improvement initiatives across the continent.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement STEM education monitoring programs
Develop assessment frameworks for STEM education initiatives
Coordinate with educational institutions and stakeholders
Manage research projects and analyze findings
Create reports and recommendations based on program outcomes
Supervise program teams and volunteer coordinators
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Education, STEM field, or related area
3+ years experience in education sector, preferably in STEM
Strong project management skills
Experience in program evaluation and research
Understanding of African educational systems
Excellent written and verbal communication


Role Description: Manage the financial systems and administrative operations of the organization to ensure its effectiveness and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor organizational budget
Handle basic accounting and financial record-keeping
Manage administrative systems and documentation
Assist with grant research and proposal development
Ensure compliance with NGO regulations
Support team with logistics and operations
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
2+ years experience in financial management or administration
Knowledge of NGO financial requirements
Strong organizational and attention to detail
Proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software
Experience with budget management
Media Specialist
Role Description: Develop and implement STEM-Watch Africa's communications strategy to raise awareness of our work and share STEM education insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Create compelling content for website, social media, and newsletters
Develop educational resources and promotional materials
Manage social media accounts and online presence
Document program activities through photos, videos, and stories
Assist with press releases and media relations
Support the development of reports and publications
Required Qualifications:
Experience in communications, journalism, or marketing
Strong writing and editing skills
Proficiency with social media platforms
Basic graphic design and visual storytelling abilities
Experience with content management systems
Interest in STEM education and development issues
Finance/Admin Officer
Role Description: Coordinate STEM-Watch Africa's events, outreach activities, and community engagement to build awareness and support for our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute educational workshops and awareness events
Coordinate volunteer recruitment and engagement
Build relationships with schools, universities, and community groups
Manage logistics for meetings and program activities
Support the development of educational partnerships
Help create community engagement strategies
Required Qualifications:
Experience in event planning or community organizing
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills
Understanding of STEM education issues
Proactive problem-solving abilities
